Trip to the Quarry

December 8, 2016
Last week me and my small son set off to the south lakes to pick up some slate. It was easier , quicker and far more picturesque than ordering it online. We stayed at Grasmere and then drove south in the glorious sunshine to the quarry which has a spectacular view of the mountains. I wandered round choosing slates for more than an hour!
One has already become a house sign.
